Poor spark - R12

Post by Bigsieuk »

Hello all,

I had my DB2 reconditioned last year here in the UK but I'm still getting a poor spark at start up. Does anyone sell new magnets and would that help?

Regards

John

Also look what I found.

Ask around at small, general aviation airports for mag repair services.

It needs a total restoration but the guy that owns it want quite a bit of money for it but I'm sure its worth it. I'm checking the serial number in the ranges now.

I had the mag/dyn rebuilt last year here in the UK and I believe the magnets were re-magnetised, but I'm still not getting a good enough spark on cold start up. There might be expertise in Germany (www.magnetos.de).

I'm sure I've seen new magnets for sale, but I can't find where.

John
