Sad news - Perry Bushong passes

Post by rosenstein6900 »

I am sharing a sad message sent by Ron Baker of Saginaw, Texas:

So very sad to report the passing of Perry Bushong (Perry's Motorcycles and Sidecars, Fort Worth, Texas). He was a world renowned master mechanic and rebuilder of many vintage motorcycles. Always enthusiastic, helpful, and willing to share his time and knowledge. A real mensch. Those of us who were privileged enough to know him will remember him forever.

For those that wish to honor Perry and have a good ride too, a memorial parade and service will depart from his shop at
816 South Sylvania Avenue Fort Worth, Texas 76111 https://www.mapquest.com/us/tx/fort-wor ... -97.309048 Saturday April 1 (he woulda liked that) Depart shop at 1pm Service at Fort Worth Botanical Gardens Theater

I passed this on to the Soviet Steeds (Ural and other sidecars) site as many of the Texas and southwest sidecar guys knew and often spoke of Perry and his shop as the "go to" place if you wanted real answers and advice.
A loss for sure of the motorcycle community.

I only knew Perry through a few phone calls and letters concerning Munch motorcycles. He was very friendly and helpful with information. Sad news. My condolences to his family and friends.
