BMW's 100th Anniversary Event

Post by Darryl.Richman »

Check out our page about the goings on at the North American celebration of BMW's Centenary!

The BMW RA is holding their annual rally Laguna Seca over the second weekend of this great party! Entry gets you access to all of the events at Laguna Seca from Thursday, 8/25 through Sunday, 8/28. The camping is on site at Laguna Seca, too!

For VBMWMO members, the BMW RA has very graciously offered us access and camping, at their member's price! (Nonmembers can actually save more than the yearly membership, if they plan to camp, but you can save half the membership cost on just the entry! So, buy a VBMWMO membership first, log in with your shiny new account and then visit the page above!)

Lot's of things happening, but:
  • The club is helping to organize the show at the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club on Friday, 8/19 and we need people to bring their bikes. Please contact me directly so I can help you get registered.
  • We are also working with the BMW CCA to put on the Concours d'Elegance on Wednesday, 8/24, at the Folktale Winery in Carmel Valley. You can enter your bike(s) by purchasing the entry in our store. There will be some nice trophies for the class winners! We also need qualified people to help judging!
  • We are running a Vintage Ride to Lunch on Friday, 8/26. Buy a ticket ($12 ahead in our store; $15 on site at Laguna Seca) and take a lovely ride through the California countryside, a couple hours each way. We will have several routes available, or make up your own (once you know the location of lunch, that is). Lunch will be a scrumptious BBQ with sides, water and soft drinks included.
