Question regarding Talbot Berlin mirrors

Post by San Arthur »

Hi all, I have a question regarding Talbot Berlin S faring mirrors.

Since they fit the exact curvature of my S faring, where these mirrors specially made for the R90S?

Since I decided to go with the original look I unmount them from my R90S and will try to sell them on E-Bay, any idea of the cost?

I hope I´m in the right forum.

I have been looking for information about the mirrors and no luck. They are called Krauser Talbot S Fairing mirrors, but that is it.

While Krauser made and prepare racing side cars and motorcycle frames, I´m not sure if is the same outfit that made luggage.

Talbot Berlin did the magnesium mirror component and Krauser the hand covers?

Any of you have more info on these equipment?

Thanks

There is a guy here in Virginia that specializes in Vintage BMW's. When i visited the shop today he had the exact color and model fairing mirrors sitting on his bench. He runs MotoEuropa and his name is Dave Carmean. His work number is 804 781-1767. If you call him Im sure he can/will be able to answer your questions. He may even be interested in buying them.

My guess is they will also fit the R100S fairings.

Krauser catalogue

Post by San Arthur »

Thanks Chuck.

On Facebook a R90S club member was kind enough to share this two images for me.

Is the cover of a Krauser catalogue from the 70´s where he found the mirrors.

Does any of you know more about the catalogue, maybe the correct year?

Anyone? Anyone?

I have a pair of these as well and I was thinking of painting mine in Glasurit 55 Daytona Orange. If anyone wants to have theirs painted, at the same time, let me know.
