Choke assembly question

Post by JakeF »

I am reassembling the choke after replacing the cables and I am having a challenge. When I took it apart there was a small ball bearing in it. I can't seem to get it back together like it was before and include the ball bearing. I can't find any diagrams online of how it is supposed to look. There are only pictures of the complete choke assembly. Is this ball bearing supposed to be there? I found one set of photos of a guys choke from a R75/5 restoration and I don't see any ball bearing. It seems to go together and work just fine without the bearing. Here is a picture of the parts.

Left the ball bearing out

I assembled it without the little bead ball bearing and it went together and seems to work just fine.
