Jump to newest post

Post by Wayne J in MA »

The only thing I miss is the ability to jump to newest or last post in a topic. There is probably a setting for this somewhere, I just have not been able to find it.

Wayne J -

I thought that clicking on the small icon in front of the thread title took you to the newest post?

I tried in the view that shows all topics in that category and it works. It just didn't work on the left of the individual topic.

I was also wondering about the display. When it first started yesterday the colors of the forum could be changed under the display option. I changed to a dark setting, evergreen I think, but when I went back in this morning it was back to the default. The options for background are now gone. Very hard to see outside on my cellphone.

Hello, following is how it works for me at least and I tested it as 2 different user levels.

1) Clicking on the

on all levels brings you to the LAST POST by that person it is listed next to.

2) Clicking on the

will bring you to the BEGINNING of unread posts in that thread, hence the first unread post in the thread will be in your view and then you can scroll to the others.

So, it seems like it works and if those don't help, please let me know.

Thanks!!!

Thank you.

Will the display color options be activated again in the future?

Wayne -

Where did you find the ability to change the display like that? I don't recall seeing that. On the MOA forum, you can choose different skins to change colors, but didn't think that was built-in here. We're running a "standard" phpBB software package. If the providers of that software have something available, I'm sure we could check into it.

It was on here when it first went live. It was under User Control Panel > Board Preferences > Edit Display Options.

I have been on several other forums using the same software and it was the first place I went to change it. It was gone this morning and my setup had reverted back. You are on Boxerworks forum so you can go there and check it out.

Addendum:
Hmm, it's gone from there now as well. I was just in there yesterday to confirm the location of that feature. Now it has become a real mystery.

Sorry, wrong location on Boxerworks: User Control Panel > Board Preferences > Edit Global Settings

I went to Boxerworks and did see the settings you mentioned...there were a few different ones I guess. Never really looked around there I guess. It still might be something Admin will consider once we get past a few of these early issues.
