This may be a question for the vintage forum instead of here. When I looked up my '67 R69S, I noticed that 1967 was the year that the LK heads were introduced. Is there any indication of where in the engine number sequence that change occurred? On my bike, which has engine/frame/steering head #662504, there is no LK mark on the heads, so I assume that change came some time after that number.

Thanks, Kurt. It seems that my bike is roughly 2000 units too early for the upgrade.

(I haven't visited Beemergarage in a long time. Good to know it's still around.)
