tank repairs

Post by rojobean »

You may have heard of Paintless Dent Removal
First tip is don't mess with or go to a PDR service who uses suction cups.

I am lucky enough in Huntinton Beach to have access to the guys who help Chip Foose fix up the cars on the TV show Overhaulin'
http://beachcitiespdr.com/

The methods require special tools to reach in and manipulate the panels via any access hole available.
They fixed both my BMW with a panel ding which looked like a nail punch!
I also had a 1988 911, they did several hood, and door dings.
They are artisans! and only charge about $50 per hour.

The problem as you know is when flexing the metal, the older crispier paints may crack.

tank repairs

Post by VBMWMO »

MY R27 got away from me while working on ti and now it has a nice crease in the tank, I don't want to repaint the tank as the rest of the bike will look shabby and it's only original once, but is there anyway to fix or at lease improve this without destroying the paint work ?
