Vintage BMW Motorcycle Owners

I do not like the instrument panel on my 1982 BMWR65. I have looked to replace the panel with an ACEWELL speedometer, tach. and odometer but the cost (over $ 230.00) seems a little high. So are there any other suggestions for a replacement? I have seen individual
tachs and speedometers for sale at a lower price but again the wiring etc. could be a problem. What to do ?

I'm sure there are replacements out there from some of the custom shops. Be aware, though, that the small bulb in the instrument pod for the charge light is part of the charge circuit. If you don't include a replacement for it of some kind, your battery will not charge. There are workarounds, but it's something to consider.

Also, I'd suggest that what you do is reversible...the next owner, if there is one, might like to go back to stock.
