1975 R60/6 winterizing

Post by motaman38 »

Hi,

I purchased my 1975 R60/6 this past spring. Can I get a checklist or to do list
of what I need to do to properly prepare the "airhead" for winter storage?

Thank you,
Steve

If you can always store

If you can always store inside. Take the battery out or disconnect and keep on a charger. Some people like to drain the gas tank and carbs. But I like to just use gas stabilizer for ethenal (?) gas. i like to keep my bikes somewhat ready to ride in case I have a nice sunny day to ride.
Keep air in the tires. Wash and wax your bike . Change the engine oil and filter. Change the oil in transmission/diff. if it hasnt been done in a while.
