New member from Northern Territory, Australia presently restoring 1955 R25/3 and looking for assistance. About to replace all seals in rear transmission and have noted that universal on drive shaft is worn and requires replacement. Is this something that can be attempted in a well equiped home workshop or is it best left to professionals?

Im sure a well equipped shop
Im sure a well equipped shop at home could do it. But not sure about getting the shaft balanced at home?

I plan to set drive shaft up on V-blocks on the mill table so I think I can get it true enough. Just enquiring if other forum members had attempted replacement.
