Key for enduro bags

Post by wa1nca »

I didn't know someone has the keys available
I replaced my locks with ones that Danny ( Bluemoonscotter) used on his repo enduro bags 2 years ago
They work and look ok but are not original
I did save my old ones and may order the keys

Can't wait to refinish my bags

Enduro Keys

Post by skychs »

I was able to talk to the guy who has the keys yesterday. Nice gentleman. Said he picked up a bunch of keys from an elderly man who had them for years. After we confirmed it was the correct key for the Enduro Bags I bought one. He said he two more left.

Tommy ..... it looks like you have the original stripes. This is the first time I have seen the stripes on the lids. Very interesting.

He sent me a photo of his own bags and he had the same stripes.

Bags

Post by skychs »

Thanks Tommy ....

Here are the photos Mike sent me. He said the pin strips are original. The real McCoy. If you bought a key there is only one left. I will let you know how the key works in my system when I get it.

Does anyone know where I can find the "trim" to the lid? I have a different trim on each bag. Id like to match them up. I couldn't find anything at the auto stores.

Also, Im looking for a two filament tail light for the bags. I need to swap out the socket so I can have running as well as brake lights.

Due to the size of the bulbs in the Enduro bags I couldn't find a replacement socket. Being 6 volts doesn't help either.

On a good note .... I finally got my Enduro Bag KEY and it works. Now I can lock the lids down so they won't blow off. Yippie.

Socket for dual filament bulb

Post by wa1nca »

As I said earlier my bags came with a dual socket for the for the rear lights
It was modified
I now think my bulb socket is original and I now understand what the previous owner did to make it work

Not a great job but now know how I would do it better
Is this pic the same as your bulb socket??
If so I can tell you how modify it

You will be happy to have a brake light and running light for each sadddlebag !!
In my case I have a brake light and direction light and will then add a LED light for my running light

I did get my key today and it does work well
If one thinks $30.00 is pricey for the key then try to find another top Lid
They have to be locked when riding but also need to have a good safety strap if the lid does become unlatched

BMW SADDLE BAGS LED LIGHT PARK STOP

Post by oldtimers.si »

hi
i make myself LED for our BMW Saddle Bags
look photos

you can buy LED festoon , must be

6 for 6 volt bikes instalation
or
12 volts for 12 volt instalation

for stop light you can install directly
for park light you must put resistor ..like pictures

try resistor 100 - 400 ohms cca 1/2 w

Yes, that is what mine looks like. Love to hear how to modify it to a 6V dual filament light bulb.
