Enduro lights
I bought my enduro bags 3 years ago and was happy to pay $450.00
The bulb socket was changed to fit a 2 filament bulb
I thought this was the original configuration but now realize the original socket was only for a single filament bulb
Not sure where the 2 filament socket was found but I would make a socket for the dual function as I think the single design was only used for running lights and I would fell better if one had some extra brake lights in the rears and also directional lights
Again I will be adding another led for my running lights this winter
PS
After I now must refinish my enduro bags like you did so well

The restoration/reproduction
But... they are not original. You did very well, in fact incredibly well for $500.
That pin striping is not original anyway so I wouldn't worry about it.
I just took my enduro bags off my bike for the Winter and was thinking about selling them. Perhaps going with some nice black or brown leather bags. Like the old German Postal or Police type. But then I realize I will never find a set/pair like what I have again, ever.
Couple pix with and without the bags. Unrestored runner:

Pin Strips
Are your pin strips original?
Mine are not
Yours don't seem so but I may be wrong
Does anyone have a good pic with the original pin strips?

Thanks for your response. I appreciate your input and its always great to see other set ups. Those pin stripes look original to me. Im not sure what Im going to do about mine.
Today I took the bike out for a nice ride. I went back to see the guy who sold me the bags. He was very happy and sad at the same time. I think Im going to like the look. Im very happy. Photos from today.

The only thing I regret is painting the latches. In this case however all the chrome was gone and they were full of rust.

You did a really nice job on
So you know there is a guy in CT. that sells a copy of the generic key that works with these old locks. Not a bad idea to do when motoring down the bumpy roads. He advertises on eBay every once and awhile. The key was $25.00 (ouch). But it does work.

Is this the guy and key you are talking about?
