Original BMW R12 Military Pannier Rack

I have 2 references showing 2 different racks, my interest is in regard only to the lever clips and their locking position in the frame arm ends. There is a 2nd different variation which does not have this type of lever/clip. Does anyone have an original relic that shows clearly this part, with the ...

Copy fault.

Also another point of inaccuracy in the copy is the bolt heads have no serrations to grip and screw down the round smooth bolt head.
The original BMW archive photo on Mike Dunns site shows this.

BMW R12 Tail light bulb

Does anyone know the correct wattage for this bulb, I will be using an original Bosch Mag/Dyno on my R12 if I live long enough to ride it!
I will not be using an LED, but as original.

Brake drums

I forgot to add, that if the drum brake surface is too worn under braking the drums expand and braking efficiency is severly compromised. Single leading shoe brakes are always a challenge for the rider or driver, when true vintage driving skills have to be employed vigorously!!

R12 Parts

Your offer to John sounds interesting. and you mentioned the splines which I did not, without wishing to queue jump, which I will not, what original R12 parts do you hold. To see original parts is always very interesting and of great value for the archives for future research.

Rucklicht Lense

You could be right it maybe a copy, but who ever made it could be sued for copyright infringement, unless they have permission from Bosch. This is the only decent copy I have found, but on closer scrutiny the early Bosch Armature was wider than the later version, this lense is close but not identica...

Rim rust

Take a rubber mallet with you to tap the rims as you rotate them!, but I would suggest you ask Wolfgang, RRC Tuning, at least you should know what you are getting.
Goodluck and good on you!
