F750 #406

Here is another F750 that appears to be based on an original Motorrad frame. I am aware there were 4 frames originally delivered to Butler and Smith in early 70s. Two were built into race bikes, one currently at Barber Museum and the other held in a private collection (currently being refreshed). As...

For John L.
I found this pic while looking through files. Not sure it's what you were looking for, but it is another view of the oil cooler plate with the case on stand.

Re: Rebuilding an F750

Oil cooler kit mounted. Bike is essentially done except for fluids and seat foam. Next I need to go visit dad and we'll start it up.

Re: Rebuilding an F750

We received the correct plexiglass which is now installed. Bike is just a few weeks away from being started. Motoforza was the company that supplied fairing and plexi. Soon as I notified the incorrect plexiglass had shipped they sent over the correct one.

Re: Rebuilding an F750

Stacks and filters from Speed Moto in Oregon. Filters can be ordered in red, black or green. It's been fun scouring the internet looking for various bits. Everything I purchased was really high quality. We've kept a journal of everything we purchased. https://speedmotoco.com/vm-mikuni-stacks-each-vm...

Re: Restoring #163

John,
If you are restoring one of the bikes, how about building a separate thread and posting pics there. Since Steve and Reg's bikes are already restored, I'm guessing you have the Gary Fisher bike.

Re: Rebuilding an F750

Not sure if this is of interest, but for completeness I thought I would include the schematic I came up with for wiring harness. I grabbed some of the images from the parts diagrams even though oil lamp is an LED, starter is EME lighter one, and ignition is from Wedgetail. Pretty simple. F750_750_sc...
