Re: How I solved the differential timing issue

Not quite the approach I would use on checking the run out on the rotor, but if the end results get you where you want to be ,
that's good.
Are you calling the flywheel, the large diameter of the rotor?

Re: Heinrich tank

More than a few years ago, I tried to fit an original Heinrich and it wouldn't fit
and I don't recall where the interference was at. I am using one dual lead coil
so don't think that was the problem. Time to check again I guess .
Thanks

Heinrich tank

At one time someone was making a Heinrich tank that would fit a conversion with sidecar.
Is anyone still making them?

Re: /2 front brake

Did you ever come up with a front brake for your conversion?
I don't care for the disc brake look 'but like the big diameter drum look.

R62/R11 transmission

Peter, The museum is the right place. my address is olebmw@aol.com. I replaced the bearings that I could with sealed bearings and machined the bearing holders to accept modern seals on the ones I couldn't get sealed, on the transmission of my R11. I plan on using oil instead of grease. In the final ...

Dual clutch plates

Daryl, I removed the carb to look at the clutch material thickness on my R42 to make sure I wasn't having a senior moment. It is impossible to measure accurately, but it appears to be around 3/16" thick. I started out with 1/4" material and that was to thick for the clutch to go together. ...
