Re: Who has Hans Meier's R68-Zundapp ISDT motorcycle?

Shame that a bike with such history appears to be languishing, neglected in a shed.

I can’t be certain but I assume this is a joke.

Re: Denfeld vs Pagusa?

Well this thread has certainly generated a hell of a lot more interesting information than I had anticipated. Cheers to all for their thoughtful contributions. The only saddle I don't think I heard mentioned was the "Steiger," which has a poor reputation for quality. That being said, I bou...

Re: R27 Magura handlebar L367 Str

My bone stock, original low mileage R27 has a Magura handlebar that is singular in shape and size when compared the standard Euro bars for the twins. It is narrower than the euro spec and no, it has not been cut. It's slightly more curved as well. It feels very appropriate for the smaller stature of...

Re: Denfeld vs Pagusa?

Thanks Kurt, I've heard similar explanations in the past. What would be great to know is if there were years, models, etc that came with one or the other? I'm sourcing a solo for a friend's 1955 R69 for example and would like to know which would be considered "correct." I'm also sourcing s...

Denfeld vs Pagusa?

I'm in the market for a new solo and have explored the options currently available from a few German suppliers. They offer both the Denfeld and Pagusa options and while both appear to be practically identical, the Denfeld is slightly more expensive. My supplier of choice offers both and oddly the ch...

Re: Reserve on 6 gallon sport tank?

I have several sport tanks and have never seen one with dual outlets. I'm not saying they don't exist, they might. But I've never seen one. I have seen a few other tanks with dual outlets but not that factory sport tank.

Re: Crank Rebuild - Brent Hansen

James, I've got a decent queue of future projects and with the uncertainty of how long Brent may continue providing this service, I sure wish it was simpler to just pull all the cranks and send them to him at once. But, my shop isn't big enough to have all those motors torn down at once. I may start...
