If it is part of the forks, as RRC sometimes inc parts not related?

The outer race of a magneto bearing is seated in its housing in an insulator to prevent the high-tension return current from passing through the bearing and to force it to pass through the earth brush.

I would highly recommend you to send your mag to a specialist restoration service.

Jeff, you are correct, some had 2 others had 3. Also whats interesting is the base was painted white on this version.
The one I copied appeared black.

If a 120-kph dial plate is used with a solo crown wheel and pinion ( solo used with a 160kph dial plate ) will it read the correct speed up to 120kph? I forgot the tachometer dial plate calibrations are different, so the speed shown won't correspond to the side car 120kph dial plate using the solo ...

See Bosch diagram, there were 3 rivets holding the lense into the top cover.
The diagram has omitted the top one.
