Re: How much do you ride your classic ?

Not enough and I have a great excuse, San Antonio have seen 3 straight months of record-breaking heat.

Same size front and rear is a must. Heidenau K34 or K36.
Heidenau Vintage tires for me too.
Same size on both.

Re: How much do you ride your classic ?

Not an excuse but today we will hit 104 F, is not very.

I have to admit I enjoy a lot working on my bikes.

Re: R26 Generator Advice: Fix or Update

VintageJim I just posted about my R26 generator a few weeks ago. Your cover, coils and generator looks in great shape compared to mine. Everything look clean. Do note unscrew and/or take the field coils out of the housing. They can not simply be reinstalad in the housing/cover. If you just reinstall...

Re: Best option for a new R27 coil

Re: ‘57 R50 Question

I’m wondering what it’ll take to get on the road first. (ex: “ I had a bike like that and I spent $_____. my first 12 mo just getting it road ready. Then $____ making it pretty.”) Arlo, without knowing exactly what is wrong with the bike and what parts you would need to replace, what you are asking...

Re: R26 with keyless crankshaft...

Vech was kind enough of answering me: -You must have a complete R27 crank, with a R27 rod and piston. The rod and piston is different and will not interchange. -- Vech- The previous owner is currently in Switzerland. We will hopefully meet in Mexico City this weekend to uncover more Zenaida's secret...

I think I didn't read this suggestion in the post, I had a similar problem, a faulty ground connection at the armature cover terminal board.
Ground the connector and test.
