Wixom lower faring install on a 1968 R60US

I purchased my R60 in 1969 and have had the lower faring on and off many times. However, I have not had it on my bike for several years and now cannot remember an easy way to install the faring. Retired now and at times memory really sucks. Any hints for easy installation???? :| [/b]

I need information help from Vintage BMW experts.

I'm developing a script for a student project, and in the story the main character owns a vintage BMW (inherited from his grandfather). In the plot, he had to sell his bike in order to settle a debt. What I need your help with is: He is a "poor" guy, so to speak, so the bike is maintained ...

solo seat for R26

Hi all,
Will a 'rubber block' type mount on a Denfeld seat go onto a 56 R26? All the photos I see of them with a solo are the spring type. This solo I have was on my old 66 R60 and might want it on a 50's R26.
Thanks.

Insurance Values

I am restoring my R26. The bike is currently insured for about $5K for a total loss. I'm wondering how insurance on a restored vintage bike works. I know that these bikes seem to sell for not much more than the $5K figure I used to insure before the restoration (which as you all know costs a bundle)...

1952 R25/2 project, totally new at this

I have inherited a 1952 r25/2, mostly together but missing odds and ends. My biggest issue is that i have a badly bent crankshaft and a bent frame( at the front tree mount which looks to have at one time hit head on with something. First with the frame, is straightening it an option? or can i find a...

Winterizin' my '81 R 100 RT ?'s

1) Besides putting the battery on a battery tender, stabilizing the fuel(i used 'seafoam') and draining/cleaning the float bowls are there any other suggestions?

2) Any suggestions for first start up of season after the bike has sat thru the winter?

Thanx

Front Horn/Coil Mount - What is it suppose to look like?

Here is a picture of what I have on my R27. What is the metal piece suppose to look like, obviously mine was broken and someone drilled into the frame to attach another "cludgy" piece. As you can see there are two drilled holes in the frame - I don't believe either one is original. If you ...
