By the way

i just thought about it : shouldn't the backlash of the pinion and the crown gear give me an indication of how "deep" the 6207 Is?

Pinion "Stiff" When Rotating By Hand

Hi
I just finished restoring the rear wheel hub with new bearings gaskets etc.
When I rotate the shaft pinion by hand I turns of course but It needs some effort to do so. Like after few turns my fingers start to hurt.
Is it normal or should things rotate fast and easy even by hand?
Thanks

Voltage Regulator Test - R51

Hi

I just got a used Voltage Regulator and a resistor . The seller listed them as "for parts/not working" cause he had no way to test it.
Any way to tell ?

Thanks

Thanks

found it one eBay and waiting for a quote from the seller
Anyhow, do you think that this is the part that was to blame for the rattle? And if there's maybe something else that could make the rattle?
Thanks

Rattle & Shake When Moving On

I'm restoring my R51/3 and i recall before taking it apart (I rode it for few months) , I noticed that for 3 seconds just when I was about to fully release the clutch , the back wheel and the whole back axle was shaking and rattling . Figured

i think I figured what's the 77mm for , distance between the inner side of the pinion ball baring to the center of the disc gear . I just inserted the pinion all the way inside and measured it and it's exactly 77mm.

O.k Jeff

That's what I wanted to know , I appreciate it a lot.

What about the 77mm for the "ideal adjustment value in housing" ?
What's that?
