Thanks for the comments. I will go with the thin metal.

The tank and fenders paint has been redone so its not a 100% original bike. If this wasn't done, I would have kept the old roundels in place.

The yellow badges just doesn't look good no matter how you look at it....

Want to replace the faded roundels on the fuel tank.

Suppliers offer a stick-on enamel or aluminum version. What would be closest to the original?

The current faded ones (not sure if it is original) seems to be flat aluminum.

Would appreciate if someone can confirm whether the main electrical wire/harness from the headlamp should pass below the fork brace or above the brace as in this picture. I only found this out only once half of the harness and two wires were cut through. I would think below as there is no way it can...
