Go for it. That is a fair price, especially IF ALL the parts are included. MANY will disagree, however, even NOT running, THIS is a special first year bike. The PAINT is also special......and DIFFICULT to accurately repaint, as ORIGINAL. DO plan to spend around $2,000 or so just to get it running co...

Run the engine ABOVE 2,500rpms. This is just where the machine will not be as smooth as it can be. Carb balance, ignition timing, etc all come into play here.
