Thanks again. That process

Thanks again. That process will certainly give piece of mind before completing the engine. I notice there are polymid gears available. My timing gears seem very good condition, but would there be any advantage putting any of these in the engine. Is the idea to make these run quieter? Are they noisy?...

Thanks for info. I think I

Thanks for info. I think I will use the same method for cleaning the oil tubes. I am worried about refitting correctly as there is little room to work and even see what you are doing. I imagine any damage or ill fitting will easily result in unbalanced oil feed to bearings. Good advice on the gearbo...

Hi Darryl, thanks for the

Hi Darryl, thanks for the welcome. Luckily I have not had too many problems needing parts for the R11. When I restored it back in 1981 nothing seemed available, parts or information in the uk. I only used it for a few years doing several rallies and runs around Yorkshire. It seemed 25 years ago, to ...

Hi Peter Firstly the Knee pad

Hi Peter Firstly the Knee pad is for my other bike 1934 series 5 R11. I have tried altering earlier type and R12 but no success. Re R62. I have not had it long and lots to learn! I presumed looking at other photo's for these bikes, the later ones may have had twist controls similar to early R11. Mos...

R 62 throttle parts, R11 knee pads

The throttle is in poor condition and incomplete, it has a twist action tube and an alloy casing, but appears to have the gear wheel and air control lev...
