Re: Fiamm horn/relay question.

I give the higher mark to Don, as a classic read. I haven't read the book series the Expanse show is based on. I liked the show, St.

Re: Fiamm horn/relay question.

You have the excellent bike for puttering on back roads with the added benefit of being able to carry a pack horse load for trips if you so desire.

Rocinante, is also the name of the space ship in the new Expanse series, lol. But yeah I knew about Don Quixote. LOL. St.

Re: Fiamm horn/relay question.

Solid color wires are usually non controlled, by this I mean no switches, relays, pure power. Color wires with stripes or dashes are controlled. Yes, the green/black wire is the power+ for the horn itself. It originates at the left side of the top fuse, goes to the stater relay pin #86. From there i...

Re: Fiamm horn/relay question.

So am I reading correctly, you installed one horn or two? I really don't think you need a relay for just a single horn even a fiamm current draw from a single horn should not be more than 8 amps. Less than the fuse blow point. Are there specifications for the horn's power supply? I don't want to mes...

Re: Another /6 Electrical Question

On your bike, the taillight and parking light (the little bulb in the headlight) are fused at the bottom fuse. So for the issue with no taillight, start with a fuse check. That fuse's power comes from the solid gray wires on the other side of the fuse the wires become Gray/black stripe. So the taill...

Re: Dual disc for a 1976 R90/6.

I think you will find you will need a new master cylinder. As well as the mirror parts to the existing system. You might get lucky and find that the early /7 forks and parts for bikes with the ATE brake calipers might fit or match your existing fork leg and brake side. This might give you a bigger b...

Re: Fiamm horn/relay question.

Oh man, I am so sorry to make this into such a big thing. Yeah the single horn will draw 3 or 4 amps, less than the fuse cut out. Maybe some other larger horn may draw the same or less, a single horn of the dual horn system (high tone horn paired with a low toned) will draw under 8 amps. Wa1nca may ...

Re: Fiamm horn/relay question.

Tommy, do you have a better picture of the wiring diagram you are referring to? Or what is the wiring diagram you have a picture of for what year and model bike? So, in your configuration, where is the higher current draw power coming from? I can see where you are getting the low current trigger pow...
