Just find an old petcock and use the open nut off of it. Solder a piece of metal over the one open side that does not thread onto the tank. Cut a coin like disc out of a thick piece of rubber that will fit down into the nut and bottom out against the disc that you soldered on. Just tighten it up on ...

I would suggest that you keep the fuel tank far away from the bike and covered, it should be the last thing that you put on the bike. Also keep the fenders covered at all times when working on putting the bike back together. I used to paint for people and could tell you stories of paint damage accid...

My sidecar bike has the aluminum pan. The other 2 solo machines have the steel pan. Thanks for your response to my question. I will order magnets for them.

I saw both of your bikes at the meet, and they are really nice, I was impressed with the quality of the restorations. I am a member of the chapter and help out in the shirt sales and also vend. The meet is always on the last full weekend of April.
