Number on case

Does anyone out there know what the number cast into the top of the timing case on R52, R62 and possible R11 S1 mean?
Most seem to have a smooth case, but some look to have a 3 or a 4 cast into it.

Making new kickstarter gear

Hello,

Kickstarter gear is done "made out of P20" and has been dry fit in the transmission, works.
Now need to get it case harden.

Did you ever end up making your 1st gear?
Both of my R11's could use one.
Also need a kickstart flange, mine has a 1/16 in of slop.

New bushings

I am going to be machining new bushings for my transmission.
Anyone have thoughts on bushing to shaft clearance.

Out of the cleaning tank and

Out of the cleaning tank and one cycle in the dishwasher.
Turns out I have a broken tooth the kick start assembly.
Its the 2nd gear in the assembly the one that has the ratchet on one end.

Hello all, My barn find R 11 Series 1 seems to have some major transmission problem. At some time in the log distance past the internal flange that holds the kick starter shaft took a major hit and has been welded. Only a 1/4 in of slop so possible a bit much for the c3 tolerance bearings. Also the ...

Bevel speedo gear that goes on output shaft to cable, # G 56 H 1.
Bevel gear speedo that goes on the main drive output shaft, # G 56 E 7.
Gear for Kickstarter, # G 56 F2.
