Brace yourself for the "investors"

From the AMCA forum: http://classicmotorcycleroadshow.com/?page_id=122 What it is: Classic Motorcycle Roadshow is a new television series which leads viewers on a hunt for the elusive ‘barn find’, that rare motorcycle which, while possibly well past its prime, dusty, rusty, and battered, is in fact ...

Hello, I am new here...

Hello BMW fans, my name is Matthias, I come from Bavaria / Germany. I own a slash 2 (R 60/2), a brandnew 12GS, and I am looking also for a worthy prewar BMW bike since years. I live in Regensburg ( http://www.regensburg.de/sixcms/detail.php/3854 ), a midieval town -a 80mile drive from BMW-Munich and...

Tranny Oil for R25/2

I'm looking to do my first fluid change on my "new" '52 R25/2. The owner's manual says to use engine oil. I called Vech and ordered fluids (before I had the manual in hand) and they sent me GL4 80w90 gear oil. I understand the GL4 part...bronze parts, etc. But should I be using engine oil ...

R60 Tyres

Have had a look around the forum and got some info. Does anyone have any ideas for a bike that'll be driven regularly. Not too concerned about period tread Pattern - more interested in grip in the wet. Hoping for something that will be a similar size and shape to original to fill up the guards and k...

Ebay turn signal from Bluemoonscooter

I finally got my turn signal installed, I am quite disappointed at the brightness of the turn signal. It is useless, no one can see those lights in the day. the light bulb says 12V 5W. I wonder if any one changed to brighter LED bulbs? I saw some 31mm LED bulbs but they are rated at at 8V+.

R69S Air Filter Decals

I'am having the OEM "Hfilter" and "10 000 km" water transfer decals reproduced for my 1966 R69S. Are there members who have further interest in this order?

considering purchace of R60

Are there any issues that I should consider re: a 1958 BMW R60?

Is there anything that went on with the early models that I should be thinking about before I commit?
