I JUST NOTICED SOMETHING IN THE PICTURES!!!

You have the handles swapped side to side!!! The hole for the cable end goes in the bottom, not the top. Try that first! :D :D

Ken, It looks like your perches are correct. It is hard to see in the pictures, but it looks as if you have the cutout for the turn signal on the throttle perch. Standard size for the handle on throttle perch is 40mm measured from the center of the bolt hole to the top of the handle, see https://bmw...

This can be a problem. If I understand your message correctly, it seems like the breather pipe is going to be replaced. If that’s the case, you can cut the breather pipe off and then reach up with needle nose pliers to pull the pin out. Not the best way of doing it but if you’re replacing the breath...

Bob, The upper mount is mounted on the frame to the “fuel tank carrier” plate. I believe the placement on the fuel tank mounts are quite close between the R 26 and R 27. I am fairly sure you could use the top mount. You may need to modify the top bracket, but there is quite a lot of slop in the brac...
