Clutch housing assy for left mirror

Anyone know what the pitch and size is of the threads where the mirror screws into the clutch housing. I want to try to clean up the threads before and if I buy a mirror.I know it maybe a little ify. 69R69

High/Low?

Not sure if there high ...low...skinny...heavy or light. Dont have them off yet. Just saw there was something under the crap paint that was on them.

Are all R69S wheels chrome?

My wheels have been painted a silver as well as the handlebars. And they look like sh%t. But looks like the wheels maybe a gray under the old paint. Are they chrome under that paint or were some wheels of yesteryear a gray color.

Removing bar end turn signals

My 69 R69S has bar end turn signals. I see a lot of info on putting these on and wiring them. But what about removing them if you didnt put them on?. I see the screw on the end and took the bulb out. I see a brass nut inside the housing. But not sure that is there to remove them or is just for the b...

Thanks Scott for the web sites. I haven't had time to work on the bike lately. Im replacing a head gasket on one of my cars. Another one needs brakes & rotors. Ill try some penetrating oil this weekend.

Thanks Kurt, Its the same measurements. Ill have to just take it apart and free it up. I even used a small screw driveer to try pushing the ball back in. But no go.

Ball detent?

I got the flat key that looks just like the 55-73 in the picture. He mentions that you should put a little oil in the key hole once per year. I think that the ball detent he refers to is the problem Im having. The spring and ball he refers to is not going in when I put the key in. Therefore it wont ...

Head lite ignition sw.

I bought a new key for the switch on head lite. But it wont go in. There seems to be a pin inside that is coming out from the wall. Key will only go in a 1/8" or so. Is that pin suppose to retract or something when the key is pushed in the hole? There want a key with the bike when I bought it. ...
