Re: Flywheel 1951 R67

Yes, I agree and Thank You. After looking through the timing hole there is one spot where they line up fairly close so I'll go with that. This engine has a two piece flywheel. Michael

Re: Flywheel 1951 R67

I'm not sure, as these are timing marks on the flywheel ring.

Flywheel 1951 R67

Installing flywheel on R67 engine and am wondering about timing marks on rear portion of flywheel ring. This ring has a line on the edge with a T on one side and a Z on the other. Uncertain how to install this. Thanks, Michael

Re: Sidecar gearing

When I first got a sidecar over 30 years ago I read that 26/6 was the ratio to have. I have an R69S with a Steib S500. I bought the 26/6 rear drive and immediately decided it was way too low. Then I bought the 27/7 ratio and feels it's perfect. The sidecar will walk away just off idle and cruise at ...

R67 Speedometer service

I have a 1951 R67 that the speedometer needs service. It works fine but the chrome bezel is pitted and the face looks dirty. What shop are you recommending these days ? I read some time ago that several of the repair shops just send it off to one guy. This is a Veigel speedometer . Thanks, Michael

Re: 1965 R60/2 Overhaul

The mufflers look to me like MCM. That was a popular after market choice because they were less than half the cost of original mufflers. They look and sounded fine at the time. Very nice bike, I'm glad you got it.
