Hi, I have a US model too abt to go back on the road. Vech has sold me a lot of parts & he gives sound advice. Richard Sheckler in northern Ohio is also a fine resource & an excellent wrench for jobs u might not want to do urself, like the tranny. He is also a good paint & sheet metal ma...

As it turns out I can buy a new mirror replacement kit from Vech for $30. If I can't work out some reasonable homebrew substitute I guess that's what I'll have to do.

Still open to suggestions tho.
Tnx,

Yes, absolutely there should

Yes, absolutely there should be fuel standing in the line. I tried to read the threads carefully before I posted & maybe I still missed that. I'm unclear on just what the problem is except that the right hand cylinder starves for fuel. If the filter that's inline is transparent enough to see if ...

Mirror plastic thingy

The original plastic piece that holds the glass in my rear view mirror is shot. Vech doesn't have a replacement for it & I don't need the whole mirror assembly, just the plastic piece. I've tried making something out of small dia. tubing split but that's not so great. Any suggestions or a source...

Tnx very much for the help. I

Tnx very much for the help. I have purchased a gallon of 5606a aiircraft hydralic fluid from amazon for $37. It appears to be a direct replacement for the original Aeroshell 4001 that BMW recommended for an R69US back in the day. Step by step...maybe this baby will run one of these days :-)
