Winterizin' my '81 R 100 RT ?'s

1) Besides putting the battery on a battery tender, stabilizing the fuel(i used 'seafoam') and draining/cleaning the float bowls are there any other suggestions?

2) Any suggestions for first start up of season after the bike has sat thru the winter?

Thanx

Streamlining The R12!

Yes, really...Streamlining The R12. I came across an article regarding a French designer who indeed do this very thing in the fourties, written by Paul D'orleans on his wonderful blog The Vinategent. He writes: "In 1947,Louis Lucien Lepoix founded his own design atelier, initially focussing on ...

BMW R27 Speedometer

I have a BMW R27 with a speedometer that is half working. The speedometer part works fine, but the odometer is not working. I am
wondering if anyone in the club could tell me of a good place to send
it off for repair this winter?

Blasted my R69S engine case, the safe way.......

Getting close to putting my R69S engine together, however I wanted the cases to look good so after reading horror stories about media blasting I decided not to use glass bead or walnuts,I used BAKING SODA! Using a small pistol type air gun,I made a home-made siphon blast gun and with some baking soda...

R60 Tyres

Not too concerned about period tread Pattern - more interested in grip in the wet. Hoping for something that will be a similar size and shape to original to fill up the guards and k...
