Re: R51/3 - Muffler and Exhaust question

Micha,
Beware of dealers selling headers listed as fitting both R51/3 and R67/2, they are NOT interchangeable!

Re: Odd saddle

Kurt, this is on a bike that’s for sale on EBay. The saddle has Pagusa rubber. I can’t see from photos how it’s mounted or what modifications were done to the seat frame and/or bike frame to do this. And WHY do this on a restoration?! Otherwise looks to be very nice.

Odd saddle

Can anyone identify this seat mount on a '65 R60? A strange, twin spring affair.

Re: R51/3 - Muffler and Exhaust question

Micha,
S-bend pipes and swallowtail mufflers with hanger tab and cutouts for the new 190mm center stand were installed from 526211. If you use the straight pipe and if you have a 190mm stand, it may interfere.

Re: CLymer manual

I see you are new, so welcome!
Do yourself a favor and just pony up for the Barrington book that covers your bike. Clymers is like the National Enquirer of manuals.

Re: Bike wobble due to grooves in freeway

I had Metzlers that tossed me around. I switched to Mitas H02 with center lugs and it sure helped!

Spacer

There shouldn't be a spacer. Did you replace the bearings with tapered?
