If I were in your shoes I'd be looking into the feasibility of replacing it with a few years younger vented FD.

Craig, are you familiar with the "cricket" starter relay repair? I followed Snowbum's instructions and it resolved that issue on my 75/5. Honestly, it was a little intimidating for me, but the instructions were thorough and it went easier than I expected .. best of all, it worked. https://...
