I'd really like to see that

I'd really like to see that in a picture. Have you ever been into this area before? A washer in that area almost like someone was doing some kind of bodge-job to make things work. A bent push rod is not a good thing. Some investigation is going to be necessary to figure out what bent it. Most likely...

Dan - I bought two of the items from the link that I provided. No other adapters were needed for my R69S. Basically, I removed the air tubes from the filter to the carb inlet. With the rubber collars provided, the metering device slips over the inlet to each carb. Before I do any of this, I ride the...

Sorry to do this, but here's some more reading...I just ran across this posted on another /2 forum..haven't read it fully yet: http://www.britishmotoring.net/current_issue/BritishM-0901_How-To_full.pdf The article indicates that too much ZDDP can be bad. Which tells me you want to have enough and pr...

GL4 vs GL5

This is debated back and forth. Vech makes a big deal of this and will sell you GL4 oil. Generally, though there's not a plethora of /2s waisting away on th...

There are folks on this list

There are folks on this list who have contacts in Germany...hopefully they'll chime in. What about contacting Uli's Motorradladen, S. Meyer, Motorrad Stemler and see if they have any contacts? From the resource links, I found the following: http://www.bmw-veteranenclub.de/ http://dreher-oldtimerteil...

Ian - To put pictures inside

Ian - To put pictures inside a post, you'll need to have the image out on the web somewhere in an account like smugmug, snapfish, flickr, tinypic, etc. They usually have help tools to create the necessary language to link the picture in your post. Another way is to use the left icon at the top of th...

My understanding of these

My understanding of these bikes, especially those around the war, is pretty limited. I thought I read something on one of these forums by either Bruce or Darryl outlining how things ending up in Russian and finally Chinese hands, but I can't seem to recall where I read this. Is there a possibility t...
