Dual clutch plates

When I was working on my R42 last winter I was given some incorrect information on how thick the fiber clutch disc material should be. I was told that it should be 6mm and 1/4" should work. Not so,I ended up using 3/16" thick material to get things to work correctly. I suppose that my clut...

I measured my R42 link and it measures the same. From the center of the axle to the center of the front pivot point is 85 mm. I measured from the fork/link pivot center line, horizontally back to the frame down tube and it measured 19 5/16". My fender clears the exhaust by 5/8-3/4" or so. E...

R42 Speedometer

Thanks for the pictures Peter and Darryl. The bezel on my speedo is a lot taller and goes almost to the bottom of the main body. Now I'm thinking that it may be an interference fit,not screwed on. Dan

R42 rear drive oil fill plug

I hav'nt tackled the speedo yet. You are the first to say that it does screw apart. It has some serious wrench marks where someone has tried. I'm thinking a quick blast with the heat wrench may help. If that doesn't loosen it up I'll probably cut it off and make a new bezel. I would like to see your...
