Hi jlibby..... You diden't say where you are located....I am in Southern California, (Camarillo)...and quite good at sidecar alignment...as well as /2 problems.... and would be glad to give you a hand if we are anywhere close together....

Fairings

Just a while back I bought a NOS Rapid Transit fairing from EBAY for my solo bike...a 1975 R90/6 .... really a good fairing...makes long distance so much easier... and kinda nice on cold mornings too...

lots of years ago I was involved with an accident.... I parked my truck in a legal parking space....and just in back of the truck was a driveway.... a Harley Davidson parked his POS right in back of the truck... within inches... when I came out of the shop I could not see the POS and backed up, knoc...

That's a second for me too !! I fell off my GS four times in four months...and said heck with it....too tall.... (I have been riding for 40 years so falling off should not happen.. nromally) I gave the bike to my son...and bought a 76 R90/6 and love it....perfect size for short guys like me... lots ...

Fairings

On my sidecar hauler .....a 76 R90/6 I use a Hannigan....it is way cool...a fine fairing...and looks great..they are still being made so replacement parts are easy to get.....I just replaced my windscreen.... On my solo R90/6 I use a Rapid Transit fairing that I bought NOS from EBAY.... I saw one on...

I know of the guy....a real old pro....and real fair with his labor...

Fred Carr he lives in Cave Junction, Oregon works on bikes in his home shop.... used to own a BMW dealership .... and really knows /2 bikes.

Exhaust leak

I never noticed mine leaking but I am working on a bike that sure shows exhaust leaks have been there....big black streaks.... think I might try using some JB Weld.... on the muffler side....and coat the pipe with paste silicone...then put it back together to cure.... the silicone paste will prevent...
