Yes, I have a Bing on this

Yes, I have a Bing on this bike. As far I can see a correct type, and perhaps used on some R12. (http://www.faak-tillmanns.com/shop/u/TVI/BMW_R_12_1-24-12-Horizontal.pdf) Mine is vertical. When I started the restauration it was both a Bing and SUM With the bike, but the condition on the SUM was bad....

Starting issues R12

Hi! I have a 1938 model R12 military with Bing 1/24/12 carburetor and the original military air filter. No choke function... Problems are starting the bike. I have correct and good spark plugs, can easy change the ignition point for later (retard) and good compression. Even with repeated "tickle" th...

Hi! See photos of my test

Hi! See photos of my test assembly. - I'm worried that the stand is too close to the ground - If I put on longer spacers between the frame and exhaust to get it higher up, I think it becomes unnaturally large distance. It suits neither particularly well ... - Can there be an opportunity to try narro...

Hi!Sorry for my late reply.

Hi! Sorry for my late reply. I think I've figured it out, and that the spring mounts were not correct. Now I can easily fix the rear screw hole on the footrest. But I still have challenges... Hi! When mounting the exhaust

Hi! When mounting the exhaust on the left side of my R11 serie 4, the "stick" for fixing the spring to the central support come in conflict so I can not fasten the rear support under the footboard. Have some of you experienced the same? How have you solved it? Cut of the stick and moved it to anothe...

Exhaust R11

Hi! I work with the installation of the exhaust system on my R11 serie 4/5. Is the muffler after elbow pipe also attached to the footboard? Or is it just a bolt through? On the pictures I have it almost like it goes a bolt through the exhaust pipe which is screwed into the footrest underneath. Then ...
