R12 gearbox oil leak

Hi fellahs,
I'm restoring/rebuilding an R12. I have done the gearbox, which was a basket case on purchase and I have noticed an oil leak from the rear cover. Is this normal ( by leak I mean a few drips over a week )

bmw r25 carbs

I have 2x Bing Carbs, they are marked 22/28 which I believe are for the r25.
They are both missing the mixing chamber cap and ring and one is missing the float.
I am going to list these on ebay but if anyone is interested please get in touch.
