Morning Restoring a 65 R60/2,and need some metal restoration help. Looking for someone within reasonable driving distance from Chicagoland area. I checked out the "resource" section, thought Magneto-Magic sounded like a good option, but haven't been able to contact him. Work needing to be ...

65 R60/2 : Steering Nut?

Hello Breaking down a 65 R60/2. Thought I had a socket that would remove/tighten the steering head nut (36mm, used it on a 73 75/5), but it seems small? The original tool kit did not come with the thin flat combination end wrench, which on some sites seems to be mark as 36mm, so I'm not sure why my ...

Thanks for the follow.

Since it's just the pin, I think I'll try the steel rod approach. See if I can fiddle with it to get a nice tight fit as you suggested.

73 R75/5 (LWB) : Seat Pins

Morning During a short ride I lost one my seat pins. The loose hinge did a little scratch damage to the fender from moving around, but nothing to bad. --- Anyone know of a good source for finding new ones? I've found what look like the /6 versions (Square on one end of pin, with notch for the clip o...

Seems like a better option

Those pressures don't look too horribly low...you could try and see what you think of the feel/performance. I generally run my tires 32/36 F/R and might boost the rear pressure a couple of psi if I were loaded for a trip. I do this regardless of the make of tires. There used to something called the ...

Yeah, I think the battery is

Yeah, I think the battery is done for sure. No kill switch, that I know of on this bike, so that's why I quickly got that battery disconnected. The starter stuck or the button was the scary part for sure. Just glad the batteries out, etc. I'll check the cables and wires. Would love to chalk this up ...
