Re: Discontinued Cycleworks Tool/Wristpin bushing

I looked on ebay & there are different tools for bushings. Even one for a Harley, same thing only different ($47). Maybe why they dont make it anymore. So many alternatives for sure a small problem. :o :o

Re: Discontinued Cycleworks Tool/Wristpin bushing

I bought a 12 ton Harbor Freight press to due these little jobs. But can also be used for much more. Can you take to a machine shop? Or is all still part of the engine?

Re: Fuel Filter or no fuel filter

I have 6 motorcycles 1969 to 2018. They all have some kind of fuel filter. E10 (ethanol gas) is the worst & filters wont keep it "all" out. And ethanol collects water within 24 hrs? So I put some fuel additive in them cause I cant ride them all at same time, for some reason. Of course everyon...

Re: Squeaky front brake

Those look like semi-metallic shoes. Lots of metal in material. Could make them nosier. Check the drums are they under cut to much? Drums to thin can cause noise too.

Re: Squeaky front brake

Possible but I do dont think so. Glazed drums inside or glazed shoes. Take some heavy sand (280?) paper
rough them up good. If the shoes dont have a taper at the end can also cause the shoes to make noise.

Re: Head Torque Technique

I never loosen head bolts either. Just check the torque is correct on all bolts, then check valve clearance. Checking head bolts on cars the same way. I had a 1985 Toyota Cressida for 12 yrs. Everyone complained about blowing head gasket on the aluminum head. Book said to loosen and retorque head ev...

Re: Fitting a side car to K1100LT - full fairing

I had a 93 K1100LT With ABS. ABS didnt work when I bought & didnt work when I sold it. It always stopped even with tape over the dash light. Great bike, kept mine for 4-5 yrs. Till I got a 2003 K1200 GT.
