Congratulations! I am happy for you. Nice to hear of a new enthusiast off to a good start with a desirable model at a bargain price ! Follow the good advice given here and you will have one of the best motorcycles ever made. , maybe even THE best ! I speak from much experience.

Ha. Ha . We have a deal as long as Clint is still not the mayor ! LOL Yes the bike is in the attic but our attic is not ordinary as we live in an 1848 ex grist mill ! Looks like my stand has not been cut. I have an original parts book but there is no picture of the front stand which surprised me as ...

Believe it or not this is the first time I have had a good look at the front stand and it appears a cross piece might have been cut out of the base. I have an original parts book but there is no picture of a front stand

My R16 has two "centre" ? stands which kind of surprised me the first time I noticed that ! I'll have a look when the weather warms up a bit

Harry gave the Killinger to his friend in Ohio who has acquired the rear wheel which was missing. Most if not all of Harry's BMWs went to a friend in Philadelphia.
