There are other differences, if someone can help with them. I also think I have later forks and front mudguard.
You have EMW R35 front fork and mudguard, is the east german improved copy of the BMW R35.

Re: BMW R35

I don't have any helpful information to add, but I just wanted to say that the bike Luca.stere posted is one of the coolest bikes I've ever seen! If you don't mind my asking, how much did it cost you to get that bike, which I assume you bought in it's current condition? It is not my bike and I don'...

Re: BMW R60/5 crankshaft bushing dilema

Problem solved, I have made the holes and after that I have found out that was also the procedure acording to service manual: bmw front bushing.jpg So there is no front crankshaft bushing with holes in order to buy from BMW parts dealers. Below you can see the mounted bearings: 20200704_200206.jpg 2...

Cylinder

This is the cylinder after it was sandblasted, bored and honed to a bigger diameter: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=BMW+R35+%281938%29+-+Part+8 It was bored to a bigger diameter (75mm) instead of 73mm standard diameter. We did that in order to recover this old and original cylinder and...

Pair

Maybe the price is for a pair as one would usually replace both bearings while the engine was apart. I was thinking about that but the catalogue said two pieces are required and that means the price (68$) is for a piece, not a pair. Maybe I will buy only one piece and I will see if it is a pair or a...

BMW R60/5 crankshaft bushing dilema

Hi all! I am rebuilding a BMW R60/5 engine and I have to change the crankshaft bushing. The problem is that the front bushing crankshaft is a little different then the back bushing, it has plus three holes: one for a blocking pin and another two for the oil passages which goes to the headcylinders b...
