Re: R11/R12 front stand

Wow. Thanks, Barry! I'll trade you Monterey for that R16. we just had a huge amount of wind and rain come thru here. I didn't have power for about 3 days and the ground is super soaked causing an unusual amount of trees to fall. But those pics are perfect. really appreciate you doing that. Did you s...

R11/R12 front stand

Does anyone know how the front stand (F66J21b) installs for these bikes? My head can't wrap around how the orientation is useful or safe. Maybe this is why it seems no one has them installed and I can't find a pic? anyways, looking for enlightenment on the subject. Thanks as always.

Re: repro r12 cylinders

Thanks. appreciate the recommendation. Jeff assembled my engine, tho didn't have anything to do with the cylinder repair originally. good to hear the recommendation comes from him.

Re: repro r12 cylinders

Does anyone have a recommendation for a cylinder welder in the states? I'm in CA. These were heavily welded for repair, so it doesn't surprise me this one did crack in some regard probably from welding stresses - tho disappointing to say the least.

repro r12 cylinders

Is there a reason no one makes repros of these cylinders? Or have I just not found them? Or did i just cross the purist line? lol. Anyways, Seems like a needed part, but i could be wrong. I'm just trying to determine if it's worth developing [further] and just wanted some input. I have a quote to ge...

Re: magneto maintenance & bike checklist- r11 r12

Thanks, Darryl. The pic is from before final assembly. I didn't restore the Mag, but am sure there is a wick in it. Surprisingly, I couldn't find anything in the handbook about filling it. I could have overlooked it in the translation process.

Thanks again.

magneto maintenance & bike checklist- r11 r12

Is there any regular maintenance that has to be done to a magneto? i see these two access points which keep yelling at me to drop some oil in them or something. Also, Do you guys have a pre-ride checklist for your bikes? I feel like as much as know my R11, I'm going to forget to check something beca...
