repro r12 cylinders

Is there a reason no one makes repros of these cylinders? Or have I just not found them? Or did i just cross the purist line? lol. Anyways, Seems like a needed part, but i could be wrong. I'm just trying to determine if it's worth developing [further] and just wanted some input. I have a quote to ge...

Re: magneto maintenance & bike checklist- r11 r12

Thanks, Darryl. The pic is from before final assembly. I didn't restore the Mag, but am sure there is a wick in it. Surprisingly, I couldn't find anything in the handbook about filling it. I could have overlooked it in the translation process.

Thanks again.

magneto maintenance & bike checklist- r11 r12

Is there any regular maintenance that has to be done to a magneto? i see these two access points which keep yelling at me to drop some oil in them or something. Also, Do you guys have a pre-ride checklist for your bikes? I feel like as much as know my R11, I'm going to forget to check something beca...

Advance timing cable hookup - r11/r12

Can someone humor me about how the timing cable hooks up to the magneto. I've included some pics of what mine looks like. (I already took the cable off) I'm just sliding the end of the cable thru the two round tabs with the barrel end attached. however, it occasionally slips out. I'm beginning to th...

R11 wiring

does anyone have a wiring diagram for a series 5 R11? And if you do, a wiring diagram that's labeled detailed enough I don't blow anything up or ruin the magneto (if that's even possible?). idk. I have an R12 diagram, but nothing is labeled and I can't tell what some of the parts are suppose to be. ...

liquid gasket

I think this has been discussed before but I can't find the thread. Any preference on a liquid gasket for the engine case?

Also, Does anyone use anything on the paper gaskets (i.e. cylinders) and head gaskets?

Thanks

Dreher

Does anyone know why Dreher is unresponsive? I ordered some stuff and paid and haven't heard a word from them in almost a month. It's nerve wrecking.

valve clearance

I brought my damage crankshaft to a repair shop , they did not even want to work on it , it had been so badly repaired previously , crankpin welded .... So I had no choice but to find a new one . RRC offered (LOL) me a reconditionned one , I bought it and have just received it . Expensive but seems ...
