Re: 1973 R75/5 - electrical issues?

My ‘71 (late 70 build) did not have fuses. I added them back in the 70s.

Re: Vacuum measuring

Is there any chance of damaging the Dwyer instrument if the carbs are way out of balance? I read that the pressure cannot exceed 15 psi on the gauge.

Another vote here for Bruce Deveau. He did a fantastic job on my R69S!

Re: Avon Tire

Bill, I was going to recommend Revzilla but I checked the website and it says that are both “unavailable”. That is where I had bought my set. I have read on another forum that Avon was sold again. I believe it is now Goodyear and the UK factory is being shut down. I hope they are just moving product...

Re: Frame Repair Shop?

I was just reading about a restoration project on ADV forum in the Olds Cool Airhead section. The frame in that project came out perfect after straightening and it didn’t even require hardly any disassembly of the bike. The place that did the work was GMD Computrack.

Re: Only modern tires from now on....

Did you mount the rear tire in the reverse direction or were these front and rear tire specific?

Re: /2 painter and powder coater

It is Bruce Deveau in Amesbury. I have used him as well and he did a superb job and is extremely knowledgeable about small details with BMW paint stripes. His number is 978 314-1354. He is great to deal with and is very reasonable price wise. You will be pleased.
