I split my time between three bikes but locally I'll ride the old bike for a 150-200 mile ride at least twice a month. I think we all appreciate that it's truly us and the bike, no advanced electronics or hydraulics - very pure.

Up to you of course but there are some things that may be worth paying for. When I was restoring my 1969 /2 I spoke to Vech who said "don't bother with new replacements, re-chrome what you have, better overall quality". So sent them off for platting to "Paul's Chrome" in PA and t...

Got it!

Replaced Points and Condenser (more than eight years old anyway) Removed and cleaned crud from petcog and fuel hoses (did not forget the crossover) Replaced fuel filters Removed floats and cleaned Adjusted idel jet position Installed new plugs Adjusted idle Now its a one kick bike again! and running...

Hi again, and thanks for the great input. So far I have: 1 .Changed the plugs and checked for spark - Yep I have spark 2. Run fuel through the carbs to be sure the floats were not stuck - all good pleanty of gas getting to the carbs. As well the plugs were wet when I pulled them. 3. Changed the gas ...

Hi Folks, She has been running great but took her out today and about a mile away from the house she just fizzled out on me after a small back fire. The bike always starts on the second or third kick when its cold. I have the BMW 12v conversion and was running a heated jacket and gloves so wondering...
