Depending on which bag mounts

Depending on which bag mounts you have, you may also need adapters. If your bag mounts have the two little welded flanges with holes in them on the rear portion of the mount's main hoop, the "male" portion of the "seatbelt buckle" gets bolted to those. If you have plain bag mount...

I can resolve anyone's

I can resolve anyone's uncertainty: A passport, enhanced driver's license, or Nexus card definitely will be necessary to get across the U.S./Canada border and back. I do this several times a year at the Blue Water Bridge between Port Huron, MI, and Sarnia, ON.

Unless you're looking forward

Unless you're looking forward to a 99.5 point score at the Pebble Beach concours, I'd agree with Twocams---stainless steel. His budget figure is probably pretty close, and you want Keihan stainless exhaust bits. Tom Cutter at Rubber Chicken Racing offers them.

If this was the first time

If this was the first time you filled the gas tank after a winter lay-up, your fuel tank probably wasn't full to begin with, even if you had filled it when you put it away last Fall. There can be a non-trivial amount of fuel evaporation over the course of 5 months or so.

90S Seat Covers

I ordered a seat from Sargent early "last" December and have yet to receive it. I may have to go to sMeyer from Germany to finish the seat tray. They have two different seats but I'm still not sure what the difference it. There is very little description on their products. There were two d...

Even Grudging Approval is Nice

Certain stages of a rebuild are very memorable. Rolling it out of the garage the first time is one of them. I even got a smile from the wife.

Not to throw parts at it, but

Not to throw parts at it, but if your spark plug leads/caps are older, they lose resistance and cause rough running. Not sure that it explains your symptoms' sudden onset, but I'd check them. Snowbum's treatises will have the correct resistance spec for that vintage; I'm pretty sure that the 5K ohms...
