Re: A question about spark plugs

As suggested here in this discussion, I also considered the Champion L77JC4 but discovered that it will not work with the brown BMW plug caps, which require a threaded post. I had the threaded post issue when I purchased plugs and thought I had messed up. Then I found that you can unscrew the end o...

Airhead Mechanic in New Zealand???

I would love to have my 1968 R60/2 given a good service including brake linings. Are there any guys on the forums residing in New Zealand who can do this?

Cheers

Warren

Re: Sluggish Acceleration R50

Silly suggestion probably but I have been caught out when I have left the choke active. Idles fine loses power when throttle opened more than 1/2 way.

Re: Parts almost ready

This afternoon I scuffed the remaining Zanieda sheet metal using 600grit wet/dry paper. I will likely begin taping tomorrow. Then after taping the white stripes, I will spray the white paint and remove all that tape. Then the time will have come to spray clear coat. https://live.staticflickr.com/65...

Looks great

Bold move with the tires, I really like it. It's nice to have an instantly recognisable bike but still one that is unique to you.

Powerdynamo

Hi

I put a Powerdynamo 12V electronic ignition on my 68 R60/2 and I love it. Bright lights, easy start, works even if I let the battery go flat. I was hesitant to buy it at first as it was "not original", but I love it now.
